flashback and nostalgia from my highschool days (pre-2004). this was the escapist notebook I always took with me to school. classmates played a large role in this notebook too.

there probably won’t be a lot to back up from this book, most of it is too embarrassing, I won’t miss it much.

pocket hardcover, a christmas present, 2008. my first moleskine ever. intend on making it the book I carry constantly in my bag for 2009, filling it in non-sequentially and with mostly drawings over writing.

hardcover blank book, purchased in the souvenir shop of an islamic arts museum, 20 February 2008. the book cover is a map of the East Indies, by J. Hondius and published in Amsterdam 1606.

the pages are very very white, and for awhile it was the book I always kept in my bag when I went out. more often than not, friends fill up the pages. it also was the book I took with me onstage when I performed at readings.

was not filled in sequentially, so the entries are all mixed up.

gift from one of my longest friends, R. she lives mostly in London, and buys me a notebook once a year or so. this one is from Paperchase, and was gifted on 29 December 2007.

this journal is for lengthy, fuller entries, and it mostly stays in my room. possibly my thickest & most personal yet, so most of its pages will be set to private.

gift from one of my longest friends, R. she lives mostly in London, and makes it a habit to buy me a notebook once a year or so. this one is from Artbox, made in England out of recycled paper and leather.

this was given to me before the redcat book, so I suspect a year or two before 2007. its unruled (just the way I like it) and I primarily use it for sketches.

I sketch with black ink pens, either

without any pencils, and illustrations are usually based on something in my surroundings. I don’t know how to sketch off the top of my head, and I have no drawing experience or formal art training.

I don’t fill this book in sequentially, so its mainly haphazard blank pages and entries disregarding chronology.
